Use of Camera
-We have all our shots steady except the the POV shot which is showing the view of the running vampire
-By re-watching the sample video for several times, we've made enough notes on planning the
 shots, so we framed the shots quite appropriately and had some nice angles of filming since we've done plenty preperation work.
-We've used various shot types in the film, including: mid shot, long shot, POV shot, close up

-We've made use of the composition techniques quite well, but there was an error occurred

 in the shot which shows the drunk girl walks near the lamppost. The girl and the lamppost should be

 placed a bit rightward in the shot, then the girl is left more room to move leftward.

Use of Editing

-We've applied the rules of continuity quite well except the shot right after the POV shot

 It doesn't make sense that the vampire has already stopped in the POV shot whereas the vampire is

 still running to the girl in the next shot as the vampire is supposed to stand still in that shot.

-The shots flow together quite well but the different brightness of the shots shows the mistake that

 we've made on choosing the time of filming. We should choose an earlier time to do the filming or else wait until the sky gets dark, but we have to make use of some extra lighting then as we know we should never film without any extra lighting in the dark.

Selection of Content

-The selection of costume helps sharpen the difference of the characters, for instance, we had the vampire wearing in black costume to show his identity and evil characteristic. The vampire also wore the make up with extreme dark eye circles and pale face, this even let the audience realize who is going to be the victim in the film.

-The alcohol bottle is quite well-selected. As it was easily to be broken into pieces which didn't take us long to finish the close up where the bottle being broken.

-Ketchup is a nice choice to be used as fake blood.

-The location is completely matched with the location in the sample video, where there are trees, a path, lampposts, these are all we need for our filming and there is no extra unwanted object in the location, then we didn't have to spare extra time to clear or decorate the location.

Self-assessment

-I've done the drafting and planning of the storyboard and the shots we're going to make use for our filming. I also filmed some shots and edited some parts of the film.

- What shoud be greatly noticed and improved is we should not do our filming in the dark without plenty lighting, otherwise the outcome will probably as dark as ours which makes the audience hardly to get what the film is going on.

-I will make sure the location is light enough if it comes to my final coursework film and make amendment to the editing to make the whole film flow smoother.

1. Use of camera
-All of the shots are steady apart from the one point of view shot, but that one was supposed to look like you are the vampire that is running.
-The shots were all framed appropriately, as we set up our shots so that you can see what is going on.
-I think we used lots of different shot types so that the film looks more interesting and you can see the characters' facial expressions together with what they are doing.
-I think we used the technique of rule of thirds quite well, as our characters were mostly positioned on the left or right of the screen. I think we used the technique of lead room very well as there is always enough room for the characters to move in to. Also, we didn't have too much space above the characters' heads, therefore the technique of head room was used well too.

2. Use of editing
-There was only one small continuity error in the film, this is where the vampire runs up to the girl and starts biting her. When he runs up to her (the camera running) he stops as she turns around, but in the next shot he is suddenly running at her. Apart from this, the film flows quite well.
-From filming when it was dark, some of our shots were hard to see, so we made the exposure brighter, however this made the shots look bad quality.

3. Selection of content
-The costume for the vampire was all dark and for his makeup he had very dark eyes and all of this made him loom scary. The costume for the girl was white and this was appropriate as it made her look innocent. The use of ketchup on the girl's jacket was very appropriate as it looked very convincing.
-The location was very appropriate for the film genre as it was narrow and looked isolated.
-The actors we chose were good at acting in the shots and they did what we told them to do. There were a few shots that took longer to get right as our actors were laughing but we managed to complete it.

4. Self-assessment
- I provided props, some make-up and some of the costume. I found our actors, found our final location, helped to plan what we needed, filmed some of the shots and edited some of the film.
-I think the biggest improvement to the film would be to film it when it is lighter, so that we don't have a problem with the exposure and lighting.
-I would make sure we film it when it is light, and i would try to find a location that is more private so that there are no distractions or people walking by.

Emily Bland assessment evaluation

Use of camera
- Apart from the shot where the camera had to be hand held to give the effect of looking through the eyes of the vampire, the shots were very steady.
- We used various types of shots so the film could be more interesting otherwise if one type of shot was used then it would become boring.
- We made sure that we had plenty of lead room especially when the vampire was running. However, in the end shot there was too much room around the actors and they were in the middle of the frame, so there wasn't enough focus on them.

Use of editing
- The shots seem to flow together well (the part of the film where there is the close ups of the girl and vampire flowed the best) but the lighting of the shots show that they had been shot at different times. There wasn't enough lighting to film it so we upped the exposure as we couldn't see through the view finder, we no know not to film when it starts to get dark and in the future would film with more light.

Selection of content
- The make-up for the vampire suited our genre very well as he looked very pale and had dark. His clothing was very dark so he could blend in more to make it a bit of a challenge to see him as this is what we needed.
- The location we chose was good apart from that there wasn't enough street lighting to help us film in the dark so a location with more lighting may have been better.
- The actors worked well with us, we had a few times when we had to re-shoot because of laughter but they were soon back on track

- I also helped by setting up some of the shots and reminding the group where the camera should be (180 degree rule)
- I edited some of the film along with both of my group members
- One major aspect which could be improved is the time of day it was filmed as it is hard to see some of the film due to it being too dark
- What I would do differently: I would make the storyboards clearer so we know exactly what sort of shot we need to be doing without any confusion. I would also film at a location where there is more lighting.
